Lady Gaga resurrected her controversial meat dress during a her Born This Way Ball concert date in Tokyo this weekend. The eye-catching fleshy ensemble looked amazing onstage.

Lady Gaga caused a stir when she wore a dress made of real meat to the MTV Video Music Awards in 2010. NOTE: Gaga didn’t pull the 2010 dress out of the back of her closet fridge, as the dress she wore time was not made of real meat. (Phew.) It was a pretty elegant fabric dress with a sweetheart neckline and a lampshade bottom. Gaga finished the look with red leather boots.

Photographer and close personal friend of Gaga’s Terry Richardson, was onhand to snap Lady Gaga as she pranced around stage in her faux-flesh dress performing amid a number of fake meat carcasses hanging from hooks. Gaga posted the pic on Twitter to share with her little monsters across the globe.

The 26-year-old star is due to fly to Taiwan for the next dates of her tour on May 17 and 18. But she is evidently sad to leave Tokyo – she tweeted: “Tokyo Monster, you can have me. Don’t wanna be let go.”

It’s official – Britney Spears has been named as a member of the judging panel for the upcoming season of X Factor USA.

The judging position will offer the former pop superstar a platform to relaunch her career and rebuild her reputation in the public sphere. Over the past five years, Spears’s status has plummeted from dizzy heights as America’s sweetheart to the terrifying lows of America’s bald-headed crazy woman.

The star’s troubled past seemed firmly behind her as she confidently stepped out in two tiny skin-tight dresses for the X Factor USA photo call. Brit-Brit outshone the other judges – old hand L.A. Reid, fellow newcomer Demi Lovato, and, Simon Cowell himself – by daring to bare in a short, purple dress and a white, strappy, low-cut, white number.

At the official announcement, there were the requisite (albeit eye-wateringly mortifying) gushing on the part of Cowell and his cohorts. Introducing the panel, Cowell said, “We delivered. Rumours are one thing, delivering is something else. This has taken a year … and I am thrilled to be able to confirm … the return of L.A. Reid, the addition of Demi Lovato and the superstar Britney Spears“.

Britney herself weighed in with a few platitudes – “I am so excited about this whole experience. It’s gonna be so much fun and so different from anything I’ve ever done and I’m ready to find the true star.”

We can understand why Britney is excited – as well as her new public platform, rumors have it that the Baby One More Time singer negotiated a $15 million pay packet to appear on the show. Sparks were flying in the Colbert Report studio last week when Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour dropped by to give an interview to funnyman Stephen Colbert.

Wintour was onset to promote the Met’s Spring 2012 exhibition Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations… but her flirty side got the better of her and, before the end of the six-minute interview, she had sealed a date with Colbert!

The pair began by chatting about President Obama‘s endorsement of gay marriage. Wintour, showcasing her rarely-seen senstitive side, revealed her thoughts on the President’s support: “I am thrillled. There were tears in the office at Vogue… I think it’s a long overdue endorsement and we’re honored that he’s come forward finally.”

Never one to linger on the sentimental, wintry Wintour also took the issue of gay marriage as an opportunity to take a swipe at Colbert’s fashion sense. “Don’t you think you could make a few more risks with the way you are dressing?” she asked, “now that you’re endorsing gay marriage, I think that Tad would be a little disappointed with your look”.

When grilled by Colbert as to whether fashion is art or not, Wintour’s razor-sharp tongue was quick off the mark, “I believe both. I believe fashion can be simply something that you wear, like yourself… [cue hooting and howling from audience] or it can be something truly creative and change the way people look at culture and fashion.”

Having elegantly defended her stance on same-sex marriage and staunchly legitimised fashion as an art form, Wintour then rounded off the interview by sealing a date with Colbert.

Colbert: “Perhaps you and I could go together bobbing for french fries…”

Wintour: “Why not… it’s a date!”

Colbert: “I’m flattered!”

EFFORTLESS: Chloe Moretz is simply charming on British chat show

Hollywood’s hotest teen starlet Chloë Grace Moretz has been doing the talk show circuit promoting her role in Tim Burton‘s new film Dark Shadows.

Moretz describes Johnny Depp as “humble”.

The 15-year-old actor plays a moody teenager in the comedy horror flick alongside superstar Johnny Depp who plays 200-year-old vampire.

Speaking to British morning show ‘Daybreak’, Moretz revealed what it was like to work with such a high-profile (and drool-worthy) star as Depp – “He’s amazing,” she gushed, “he’s one of the most humble guys you could ever work with”.

The stylish young star wore a a black-and-blue printed sleeveless mini-dress from the Versus Fall 2012 collection. She finished her look with black McQ by Alexander McQueen Fall 2012 pumps. This well-chosen ensemble is an clear indication that Moretz is a serious fashionista in the making.

Dark Shadows is based on a gothic daytime soap opera in the USA that ran from the mid-sixties to the mid-seventies. The hotly-anticipated film adaptation is, according to MTV, “gonzo comedy that should please many, but may rile fans of the original soap opera.” Oh well, you can’t please everyone.

Moretz’s super-chic appearance marks her as a serious fashionista in the making.

This film is the latest addition to Moretz’s already impressive acting repertoire. Despite her tender years, Moretz has starred in numerous films including the Oscar-winning flick Hugo directed by Martin Scorsese. We imagine there’s a lot more to come from the young actor-stylebunny; both onscreen and on the red carpet!

Tom Cruise trying way to hard to be 'edgy' on cover of W

Gross-out alert. Tom Cruise is set to cover the June issue of W magazine and we’ve caught a glimpse of the creepy covershot.

The editorial team obviously wanted to go for an ‘edgy’ look and the result makes Tom look like an awkward vampire gangster. It’s probably the most bizarrely uncomfortable shoot we’ve seen in a while, and not in a good way.

Tom Cruise is unrecognisable in the weird covershoot.

Cruise – who, lest we forget is 49 NOT 15 – is barely recognisable due to heavy guyliner, longish tossled hair, and a plethora of fake tattoos. He shares the shoot with two models – Edita Vilkeviciute and Abbey Lee Kershaw – who are trying their best to up the energy of the picture but their efforts are futile in the face of Tom Cruise’s awkward pose and dead eyes.

In Cruise’s defence, he is supposed to be appearing as his character, the fictional rockstar Stacee Jaxx, from his upcoming musical-turned-film Rock of Ages. Still, we think that this attempt to embody rock star grunge falls horribly flat.

Less rocker chic, more emo freak.

It also must be pointed out that there isn’t a wrinkle to be seen on Cruise’s face … did someone say Photoshop? Surely a rugged lined face would ADD to a rockstar’s appeal?! It would be way better than this teenage, androgynous emo look in any case.

Did Madonna rip off Australian artist?

UH-OH. Madonna is ruffling feathers again – this time due to the logo for her first-ever perfume Truth or Dare.

Australian artist wants to protect his ‘artistic integrity’.

Sydney-based artist RJ Williams has accused Madonna of ripping off his design for the logo of her scent. He sent a legal letter to the singer because the ‘M’ shape that adorns her perfume bottle is suspiciously similar to a logo that Williams has been painting for the past eight years (and which he trademarked last year).

The letter called on Madonna to “stop infringing his copyright, provide him with all profits made so far and enter into a license with him for future use of the symbol.”

In an interview with the Telegraph in England, William said, “It’s about my integrity as an artist… I do not think it should be able to be used by a giant cosmetics company.”

A teacup and saucer used by Lady Gaga has sold for over $75k at an auction in Japan to raise money for victims of the devastating tsunami that hit the country last March.

Lady Gaga gave a china cup and saucer up for auction to raise money for Japanese artists who were affected by the tsunami and who want to study in the USA. Gaga’s cup was one of many lots up for grabs at the auction.

With more than 1,300 bids from Gaga fans all over Japan, the teacup and saucer pulled in an impressive 6,011,000 yen when the hammer finally came down.

Lady Gaga sipped tea from the cup at a press conference for an MTV charity event ‘Music for Japan‘ last year. It features an authentic Lady Gaga lipstick stain and the star’s autograph alongside a Japanese sentence reading ‘We pray for Japan’.

The natural disaster killed 19,000 people on Japan’s northeast coast and sparked the world’s worst nuclear accident since the 1986 Chernobyl disaster. Lady Gaga has visited Japan twice after the disaster and is due back in Japan this week as part of her Born this Way tour. She has also been active in promoting Japanese tourism and pushing people to visit the country – “It’s fine to come here – it’s beautiful… everyone come to Japan and come to enjoy the beautiful country,” she said in an interview. Diva? Rihanna annoyed SNL gang by missing dress rehearsal

Rihanna wowed the Saturday Night Live audience last weekend with two show-stopping performances. However, according to TMZ, SNL bosses were furious with RiRi as she failed to appear for the dress rehearsal.

SNL team can’t remember the last time a performer missed the dress rehearsal.

According to sources, Rihanna was in the building for the dress rehearsal, which is done in front of the a live studio audience right before the actual show, but she didn’t turn up as she was feeling ill. Rihanna’s choreographer kindly stepped in and took her place for the rehearsal but apparently, SNL boss Lorne Michaels did not take too kindly to the star’s absence.

Afterwards, staffers allegedly reported seeing Rihanna walking around backstage and eating an apple which made them think that perhaps she wasn’t so sick after all. This has resulted in DIVA charges being thrown at the Barbadian bombshell.

Sources close to Rihanna point out that she went through every rehearsal except the final one as she felt too sick to do it and had to save her voice. Apparently, a doctor came to her dressing room pre-show and gave her a hit of penicillin. “Rihanna was sick and needed to save her voice for the live show,” says a rep for the singer.

The 24-year-old pop singer didn’t show any sign of illness as she busted out two great performances on the show. RiRi sang a medley of her tracks ‘Birthday Cake‘ and ‘Talk That Talk’ wearing thigh-high boots in front of a haunting spiderweb backdrop. For her second performance, she gave a stunning rendition of ‘Where Have You Been‘ dressed like a Queen with an Egyptian themed set.

Poor Kanye West. Driving through the streets of New York prove to be a pretty ardous undertaking for the rapper due to his finely-tuned aesthetic sensibilities.

“DETEST” ranted Kanye of NY street style.

In a rage at the plethora of uncool outfits parading around NYC, Kanye took to his Twitter account to let the world know how incensed he was at these sartorial no-nos.

The rapper-cum-designer tweeted seven of fashion pet-hates that he spotted on the streets before tweeting “… all this in 5 blocks“.

KW’s detested looks include “long ass sideburns”, “big ass striped scarves”, khaki (either in form of shorts or trench coats), and “sports coat with button up shirt”.

We wonder does Kim Kardashian realise how picky her new beau is when it comes to fashion choices – we hope he doesn’t hate leopardskin, skin-tight Roland Mouret dresses, and super-high heels… otherwise KK could be in trouble!

PRETTY IN PINK: Coco Rocha wows at the Met Gala

Coco Rocha marked herself apart from the fashion crowd at last night’s Met Gala. Rather than opt for a lavish ball gown or sculptural haute-couture piece, the elegant model chose to wear a vintage canary yellow Givenchy playsuit, which was previously worn by Elizabeth Taylor and has a wine stain to prove it! CHIC.

The color of the night was pink and the playful model outdid her fashion rivals by dip-dying her luscious locks bright pink! Her bright pink ringlets, which she previewed via a sneaky pic on Instagram (see below), are a fantastic twist on the theme and the perfect way to set her apart from the crowd.

Rocha finished her look with a pink bustier top underneath the suit, Sergio Rossi pink satin platform pumps, and a glam gold clutch.
