Kate Middleton at Lucian Freud exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in London
The Duchess of Cambridge looked fantastic as she attended the new exhibition of portraits by Lucian Freud at the National Portrait Gallery in London.
Kate goes solo to Lucian Freud exhibition at National Portrait Gallery.
Glamorous Kate looked calm and demure during her first solo engagement since joining the royal family. She wore a grey tweed double-breasted coat dress from high street label Jesiré. The dress featured an exaggerated shawl collar, three-quarter sleeves and a full skirt style. Jesiré coat-dresses retail for around $250 so this was a v. affordable choice by the fashion-conscious duchess.
Kate accessorized with an ornate belt and the glittering diamond bracelet and earrings that she first debuted during her trip to Canada with Wills. She also wore the 18ct white gold Asprey Button Pendant.
Kate accessorized with black Jimmy Choos, diamond Asprey button pendant, diamond bracelet and earrings.
The 30-year-old duchess teamed her tweed suit with sky-scraping black suede Jimmy Choo shoes from the label’s Cosmic collection.
This event was of particular importance to Kate as she studied history of art at St. Andrew’s University, where she met her now-husband Prince William, and graduated with a 2.1 in the subject. The Lucian Freud exhibition features 100 paintings and works on paper loaned from museums and private collections from throughout the world – Freud died in July 2011, aged 88.
