Katy Perry and Russell Brand are officially divorced
Katy Perry and Russell Brand have finally settled their divorce and the Firework singer has done so in style, signing the divorce papers with a smiley face.
Their marriage ended with a smile.
According to TMZ, the couple reached a ‘comprehensive written settlement’. They also divided up their assets. The couple did not sign a pre-nup before their marriage. Despite this, Russell, who is worth about $6.3m compared to Katy’s $44.3m, walked away from his former wife’s fortune, even though he was legally entitled to half her earnings.

According to legal documents filed at the LA Superior Court this week, Perry is now Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson again.
The English funnyman and the American starlet tied the knot in October 2010 and all appeared to be fine until Russell apparently blindsided Katy with divorce papers in December 2011.
The cheeky smiley face signature on the official divorce legal documents can be seen as a sign that the colorful popstar is happy with how amicably the pair managed to end their marriage and how Katy has big hopes for future. The super-talented popstar is v. busy promoting her lastest sing ‘The One that Got Away‘ (watch Katy singing the hit LIVE below) and rehearsing for her performance at the Grammys. This pop princess has got a lot to smile about.
